#8 Best Motivational Video Ever

An Inspirational Story: Video Commentary
1. What is the main message of the video?
As what I have understood, the video’s main message is “You should not lost hope in everything that you do, always be thankful of what you have in life and most especially you should always trust and believe in God Our Savior”.

2. Are you inspired by it? Why or why not?
I was definitely inspired by it. In such a way that even if Nick Vujicic has no arms and legs still he’s facing the world’s dilemma positively and with a smile on his face. He’s indeed an inspiration, even though it is not the first time I’ve seen that video, it still has the same effect on me. I know it inspired not only me but everybody. It inspired me to become hardworking, to face problems, whether big or small, positively, to be forever thankful of what I have and to always believe in myself and to God, above all.

3. How can you become an inspiration for others too?
I can be an inspiration for others by simply doing good things and be a role model. Good things like going to the church, visiting the jail and home for the aged, helping others who are less fortunate and especially finishing my degree. I’m sure through this said own little ways of mine, I can inspire others too. Inspire others to do likewise.

#7 Writing Definition

DISCIPLINE
-is referred to systematic instruction given to disciples to train them as students in a craft or trade, or to follow a particular code of conduct or "order". Often, the phrase "to discipline" carries a negative connotation. This is because enforcement of order – that is, ensuring instructions are carried out – is often regulated through punishment.
-moreover, the said word means that training that corrects, molds, or perfects the mental faculties or moral character of a person. Uniquely, “to discipline” sounds more like as a punishment.

#6 The Mighty Eric (adventure story)

Long time ago in a far away land. There lived a family called the Jungao’s. They are well-known family, for being so generous and kind. They really helped the less fortunate people in their village. One day, all the family members was captured by a group of bandits except for the youngest member of the family. His name is Eric Michael Jungao, which is a professional archer. The young man decided to get his family back but he doesn’t know where to find them. He had a friend called Dora, she is a well-known explorer. Whenever you don’t know where to go, her map can tell you which way to go. Dora’s map said that in order to get Eric’s family back, first, he should go to the creepy mountain. Second, to the five ogre’s cave. Third, to the crocodile sea and lastly, to the island of the bandits. There he will see his family. Two days had passed, Eric is now on the creepy mountain. There he saw plethora of zombies but he finished them all with just a second. He then go to the next place. The five ogre’s cave. While he was about to enter the cave the ogres then blew Eric away. He got some little bruises for that but he uses his gigantic, golden, ancient arrow to kill the five ogres. After finishing them all he went to the next destination which is the crocodile sea. There he saw billions of enormous crocodiles. He really had a hard time on how to finish all of them. So he decided to call his good friend Doraemon to help him get through to the sea, full of crocodiles. Doraemon gave Eric a gadget. This gadget is called the dragonfly copter. It is putted on the head in order for you to fly. Then, Eric got through to the sea without having sweat at all. Atlast, he is now on the bandit’s island. He saw plenty of bandits that awaits him. With his skills and strength, he had defeated all of them. He then saw a hole where he heard his mother shouting his name. He entered into that hole and saw his family. He then released them. Together with his family they came home. All of the bandits is so afraid to do bad things. They are afraid of the Mighty Eric. From then on, the Jungao’s lived happily ever after and so as the villagers. FIN.

#5 My Superb “Tatay”

Hero. What does this word really means? For me the word hero means a person who has done something brave, new or good to others and therefore being admired by a lot of people. I know that everybody has their own hero in life, just like them I have one too.
My Hero’s name is Fr. Ramon O. Fruto, C.S.s.r. He is the first Filipino Redemptorist Priest. He is an 80 year-old Father. He is quite old but very young at heart. He is very understanding, humble, approachable, supportive and most of all very loving and helpful. We, I and my Redemptorist Youth Ministry family, used to call him “tatay” because he is like a second father to us.
I’ve chosen him as my hero because he had helped and inspired not only me but as well as others. He had helped me in building my self-esteem, molded me morally and spiritually through some of his spiritual activities. He’s always there in times we badly needed some help and whenever we had some problems. His hands are always ready to help. He also inspired me to do good things to others, always inspires us to join some apostolic works like jail and home for the aged visitation. He is indeed a very wonderful person. Even though, he is no longer assigned here in Iligan, he is always ready to help us. We can still feel his presence even his now far away. I am forever thankful that in my life I had a “tatay” like him. I always thank God for bringing “tatay” into this life. He is really my hero even with his simple but very meaningful ways in helping me. Tatay is really one of a kind. I love him so much. The word “thank you” is not enough in expressing my gratitude to him. Tatay is really the best “second father”. Fr. Ramon O. Fruto, C.S.s.r. is “My Superb Tatay”.

#4 A Lola's Love

We, people don’t know when; how; where we will die. We can’t really predict when we will meet death. Death is a very creepy word isn’t it? Well, who wants to die anyway? I know everybody is afraid to die but my mom usually tell me, I should not be afraid of death instead I should be afraid to God. She also added, death is God’s Will. If it’s really our time we should accept it whole-heartedly.
Do you believe that the dead communicate with the living? Well, for me? Yes, I believe that dead people communicate with us living people. Every one of us has things to complete and wants equality. In my opinion, dead people communicate with us because they have incomplete tasks or they want justice for their death. Especially when they we’re killed or murdered intentionally. I can prove all of this by telling you a story which goes this way:
My Mom has a grandmother in her Mom’s side named Lola Juana. My Mother was Lola Juana’s Favorite grandchild. When Lola Juana got sick my mom was the one who took care of her whenever she came home from school. My Mom was 17 years old that time and having her college in a very far place so she stays in a dormitory and only came home during weekends. One Afternoon, while my Mother was getting her laundry someone took her attention on the Mountain View. She saw a Human Figure which is very, very familiar to her. My Mom was shocked, she’s sure she wasn’t just imagining. It was really Lola Juana wearing its favorite skirt. Suddenly, Lola Juana looks at her with a smile on her face and disappeared instantly. My Mom was always dreaming of Lola Juana. That Lola Juana was giving her a little brown box. The said dreams always haunt her.  Weekend came and my Mom goes home, finding out that Lola Juana died. She hurriedly go to Lola Juana’s House, there she saw Lola Juana lying in a coffin. My Mom cried and cried. She opens the room of Lola Juana and saw something in a table that looks like a box. She rushed into the table, finding a little brown box with a note saying “Lita”. My Mom opened the box and saw a pair of earrings which Lola Juana owned. She cried while saying thank you to Lola Juana. Until now, my mom is still wearing the said earrings and it reminds her the happy and sad memories of her and Lola Juana.
The story tells us that dead people still communicate with us because they want to give us something or in Cebuano “paghabilin”. We are not really permanent in this world. Nothing is constant, but the memories we’ve shared with other people, whether it is good or bad will stay forever. People may die but memories don’t. I hope we may live in this world happily and make some unforgettable happy memories.

#3 "I stop to say Thank You, Mamu and Papu”

1. How do you think people value family these days?
Well, as what I’ve seen in the video and as what I’ve observed, people value family nowadays by just “financially” supporting them. They just gave some financial support to their family. They did care, but not morally. I mean their not really there physically and morally supporting their family members.

2. How would you show you value your parents 10 years from now?

Hmm...10 years from now? Well, I think I’m done with my studies and I’m quite successful in that very moment. I’m sure my parents are old in that time, I’m sure they cannot take care of themselves properly. I would like to take care of my parents as long as I could. I want to be there always when they badly needed help. I want to help them financially and morally. I want to do the said things not by just because I value them, I think it’s one of my ways of thanking them for all their support and love they have given to me.

3. In what way can you say "Thank You" to your parents now?

Well, as what I’ve mentioned, taking care of them is one of my ways of thanking them. I would strive harder in pursuing my dreams in life; I would study harder in order for me to finish my studies. I would change my bad habits and stop being a hard headed child, hoping it would lighten up the loads they bring. In the future, one of my wishes in life is that, when I’m successful and earned some money. I want to have some tour abroad together with my parents. I want them to enjoy the things which they did not experience. I want them to be very happy in their remaining lives in this world.

#2 I’m HELPLESS without them.

Reading and Writing are very important tools in Education. If you can’t barely read and write, you would really have a hard time in the said field. You would surely struggle in the everyday of your life. Well, some people don’t know how to read and write because of poverty because they don’t have any money to sustain their education. I am very fortunate that even though we’re not rich, my parents can still support and afford my studies.
Reading and Writing are one of my hobbies in life. I really love to read novels; different kinds of novels. Writing is the best thing I want to do, I usually wrote poems and some long and short essays. Well, for me I’m a good reader and writer sometimes and sometimes not. I said “sometimes” because not all the time I understand what I was reading. Especially when I read some English books having many difficult words, but usually when I don’t know the word I would search for the meaning of that word. While in the case of Writing, I usually write poems depending on my mood. When I’m happy, inspired and frustrated that’s the time I wrote poems. Sometimes I don’t like to write when I don’t like my surrounding, if I felt uncomfortable. Reading and Writing are eminent in our lives, particularly us students. They are much related to each other. If you don’t know how to read, you also don’t know how to write. Well, without reading and writing in my life? Is like me without wearing my eye glasses, HELPLESS.
